VIBRATION ISOLATION

 (18)
Vibration is isolated when you place a composite material between the source of vibration – your equipment - and the support structure for that equipment. Vibration Isolation decreases the vibration transfer between the equipment and the equipment’s support structure.

Vibration in one piece of equipment can adversely affect the functions of other equipment that surrounds it. In extreme cases, when equipment is not properly isolated, even structural damage can occur. We designed the Kellett LP-13 Shake Absorber® Vibration Isolation pad to effectively isolate these vibrations and return your equipment to peak performance levels.

A plant manager in a lumber mill states, “Our problem was not a steady type of ...

VIBRATION ABSORBER

 (18)
Vibration absorption, or loss factor, are terms that express the out-of-phase time relationship between a shock impact or vibration and the transmission of the force to the support. To calculate the effectiveness of a material as an absorber, the two most important factors are load or PSI (pounds per square inch) and the frequency of the vibration.

Heat usually causes the majority of damage to electrical and electronic components. That’s because heat builds up in an electrical circuit when there is a poor connection between conductors. We find that vibration is often the reason. Over time, vibration loosens electrical components and that causes circuits to over amp, and ultimately generates excessive heat. The worse ...

VIBRATION CONTROL & NOISE DAMPENING

 (18)
Vibration and noise are synonymous with each other. Each situation is unique and requires a pad designed for your specific application. Our team works with you to resolve or diffuse the vibration and the noise!

The image below shows the LP-13 Shake Absorber® mounted under a metal plate on a Catamaran boat motor. After installation, the owner stated, “The result of installing the LP-13 Shake Absorber® is that the vibration on the boat is significantly less than before, at all speed ranges. I do not recall the boat being as smooth as it is now, even when we took delivery. At idle, the boat always had a significant shake and noise to it, but now it is super smooth. I am very pleased with the retrofit.”

BUMPERS & SHOCK MOUNTS

 (18)
Due to the large number of applications of bumpers and shock mounts, we work with your specs in order to manufacture the right pad for your application, usually at a significant savings over standard OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) replacement parts.

“Our problem was not a steady type of vibration but rather an impact type of shock, typical of lumber mills. This constant shock impact was destroying our PC screen monitors and PLC I/O card connections. The operator cabs were originally mounted on the standard rubber pads, but they were not very effective. We did mount one of the cabs on a set of airbags, however, that was a costly solution and they were susceptible to leaks. We installed the LP-13 Shake Absorber® ...

NEOPRENE SHIMS FOR LEVELING & STABILIZING

 (4)
We stock our custom blended neoprene for leveling and aligning critical equipment. We can custom cut shims to any size up to 22” x 40” in our Shore A 70+/- Durometer and slightly larger in our Shore A 55+/- Durometer. These shims cost less than conventional metal shims and can be stacked to achieve the proper height required. As a rule, metal shims do not increase the vibration isolation and dampening properties. Our LP-13 Shims provide additional vibration isolation, control and noise dampening.

LIGHT EQUIPMENT CONTROL

 (2)

Our PVC closed-cell foam has a Shore A Durometer of 35 ± and weights 35 pounds per cubic foot.  The thickness is 3/8” and is strong enough to walk on without major distortion due to the cells or bubbles not being broken; they resemble inflated balloons or soccer balls, piled together in a ...
